Bio

Katharina is pursuing a Master’s degree in Organic Agriculture and Food Systems, specializing in agroecology, at the University of Hohenheim and ISARA Lyon (Institut Supérieur d’Agriculture Rhône-Alpes). She holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Resource Management from Vienna. While spending a year gaining hands-on experience in agricultural organizations in Southern Europe and Vienna, where her passion for sustainable farming took root and deepened her interest in the field, inspiring her further studies and current research. Katharina’s master’s thesis explores the expansion of organic agriculture in Austria and Germany, focusing on the contrasting levels of growth and the vested interests shaping these dynamics.
