Marisol has knowledge in sustainability sciences and international relations. Her main interests are focused on the sustainability of the agri-food system, especially on the vulnerability of agriculture. Therefore, she has participated in various research projects related to agricultural issues in different regions of Mexico in collaboration with non-governmental associations. With this she has acquired experience in the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data obtained in fieldwork. She seeks to contribute to the understanding of the challenges in food production from a socio-ecological perspective to generate proposals according to present and future contexts.
